I have been producing electronic music for the past few years now with no professional training, mainly with tutorials and experimenting with different genres throughout the years. After reading and going through these sections about music let me realize I have the capabilities to continue my music career in a professional manner with great confidence. The bassline section really made me question my ability to create basslines in edm but after finishing up the section it is all based on creativity and which keys work with other keys. Similarity, the melodies section also brings that up, along with pitch, key and pitch are important. This is something I questioned, whether the pitch or key really matter and it does. The section regaeding song structure also made me realize the structure of a song can be abstract, as long as it makes sense in telling the story of the song, with great transitions between each section of a song. Finally, the playground section let me experiment with different chords and drum patterns which helped solidify my confidence in creating electronic music in the future.
